Yogscast’s Jingle Jam streams for charity all this December

Yogscast Jingle Jam

The Yogscast team are putting on a month’s worth of daily streams in order to raise bucket loads of money for charity. The Yogscast Jingle Jam will stream games every night in December, taking on challenges and holding competitions in the run up to Christmas and New Year. In return for donations to their chosen charities, Yogscast will be giving away games and Team Fortress 2 accessories to make your Christmas nice and jolly.

The charities benefiting from donations will be Mind, Doctors Without Borders/MSF, Flora & Fauna International, Special Effect, and End Polio Now. All have been chosen by Yogscast presenters, and represent a broad range of causes.

Drop $5 or more into the kitty and you’ll be gifted with a special item for use in Team Fortress 2, as well as your message read out live on the stream.

A $25 or more donation will bag you a heap of games via a special Humble Bundle. Yogscast are remaining tight-lipped on the contents, but the games will be announced before the Jingle Jam launches on December 1st.

As well as giving away games in exchange for charity donations, Yogscast are also raising money for the charities by donating the profits from their new Christmas single ‘Does Santa Claus Visit Zombie Pig-men Kids in the Nether in Minecraft (At Christmas Time)?’ and Yogscast Christmas jumpers.

The Jingle Jam hopes to repeat the success of Yogscast’s last Christmas charity drive, which raised £700,000. “We were blown away by the support we had from the audience last year – both the people who tuned in to watch us every night and the amount they donated,” said Lewis Brindley, co-founder of Yogscast. “All we do is turn up and do silly stuff on camera – and we have lots of new fun stuff lined up for this year – it’s the people who donate who make a difference to these fantastic charities.”

The Jingle Jam starts on December 1st at 6pm GMT at Yogscast’s Twitch channel, as well as their YouTube channel. The Christmas Jumper can be bought from the Yogscast store.
