Update November 11, 2016: Warframe’s latest expansion The War Within is now live, bringing new weapons and mission types as well as continuing the story.

Original story October 29, 2016: Free-to-play sci-fi shooter Warframe will take players’ battles deeper into the story when its next major expansion, The War Within, arrives this November.
The next stage of the game’s main story quest, a hunt for information about the mysterious Tenno, will carry on from where last December’s expansion left off, so if you’ve not finished The Second Dream’s quest you’d best get on that.
The game’s developer, Digital Extremes, has also suggested that making sure you’re in your Sunday best before beginning The War Within is advised as your customisations will be on camera for the story cinematics, just like all these real-life operators in the teaser below.
There’s no exact release date for the PC expansion yet, but when it does arrive there’ll be more weapons, enemies and some extra secret stuff that will no doubt leak out along with the final date in the next few weeks.
During that time, Digital Extremes will be holding a few double resource weekends and other bonus events to earn credits and affinity before the big day, so it sounds like a good time to jump back in, or dip your toe for the first time.
