Master X Master to run open alpha playtest of Ranked PvP November 22-28

MXM Alpha

NCSOFT’s attempt at the MOBA genre, Master X Master is pushing towards release in 2017. In the mean time they’ve been running various online sessions for people to check the game out, load-test servers and give feedback. The next of these is running for a full week, November 22-28, and is designed to test the game’s competitive-focused three-lane map Titan Ruins. It’s essentially open to all.

Access requires you to sign up to the Newsletter before 19:00 CET / 10:00 PST on November 21. That can be done with the big button on the main site.

Unfortunately, the servers won’t be up 24/7 during this period. Here’s the access times for each side of the Atlantic:

  • European Server Available:
    • 15:00 – 23:00 CET
    • 14:00 – 22:00 GMT
  • North American Server Available:
    • 13:00 – 21:00 PST
    • 10:00 – 18:00 EST

During the test all players will have access to every master, including two new ones that haven’t been in the game previously. The normal experience requirements for the Titan Ruins map in Ranked Play have also been removed, so everyone can get a taste. Anyone who plays five matches or more gets a special title that will stay on their account for release, identifying them as an alpha tester. Full details in the announcement post.

If you don’t think you’ll have time to play, or just want to see what it’s like before you do, NCSoft will be running a stream on Twitch on November 22.
