This mod makes Kingdom Come: Deliverance even harder

Kingdom Come: Deliverance tips

Players have their gripes with Kingdom Come: Deliverance – there’s the stingy save system, the bugs, and the fiddly combat – but one thing we haven’t heard much of is complaints that the game is too easy. Nevertheless, there’s now a realism mod that makes the game even tougher than it already is.

We dug around in the Bohemian dirt to find the very best mods for Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Modder Knoxogoshi’s Ultimate Realism Overhaul makes a ton of changes to Kingdom Come, notably to its weapons and armor. Ranges and damage values have been adjusted, and Knoxogoshi says each weapon now serves a specific role in combat.

Player progression is slowed down, and hunger goes up much faster. That’s tough enough, but you’ll also get less meat from animals, and merchants won’t pay as much when you sell your extra supplies.

The good news, however, is that alcohol now numbs pain and “has a very slight healing effect,” just like in real life.

If you’re up for a hardcore playthrough of Kingdom Come, you can find the Ultimate Realism Overhaul over at NexusMods. But you might also want to pick up the Unlimited Saving mod while you’re there.

Thanks, PC Gamer.
