The new characters coming to Genshin Impact have already been teased on the game’s official social media, so we know we can expect them in the 4.7 update. There have, however, been leaks surrounding the 4.7 Genshin Impact events, and it looks like it’s going to be a big update, including a potential prelude quest to a hugely anticpated fan favorite character.
Genshin Impact 4.7 release date
The Genshin Impact 4.7 release date is likely June 5, 2024, if the update follows the six-week release schedule. There will be the usual Genshin Impact maintenance times before the update goes live, but players should receive goodies for their patience.
Though a livestream hasn’t been announced yet, we’re almost always treated to a first-look at banners, events, story, and more about a week before the launch of the new update.

Genshin Impact 4.7 characters
Clorinde
This new Genshin Impact character is a five-star Electro character. She wields a pistol, but as she is a Champion Duelist from Fontaine, she may have another weapon up her sleeve!
Sethos
Four-star Electro characer, Sethos, wields a bow and hails from the deserts of Sumeru. We saw him in the 4.6 livestream and he appeared in Cyno’s story quest, but it looks like he’ll be joining one, or both, of these upcoming Genshin Impact banners.
Sigewinne
Sigewinne is a five-star Hydro character, and she is the head nurse from the Fortress of Meropide. We know she wields a pistol, this could suggest that she may be a DPS/Healer hybrid.

Dainsleif
One of the biggest leaks to come out of the lead-up to the 4.7 update, is that the hugely anticipated character, Dansleif, could finally be arriving as a playable character in a future update. Players have been waiting years to know more about Dainsleif, and it looks like 4.7 may include his prelude quest.
Imaginarium Theater
Judging by the leaks from Genshin_Intel on X, it looks like a new abyss is coming to Genshin Impact. You’ll be able to select characters to take on this eight-stage challenge, which can be accessed in the prep room using Tomes of Reveries. There are three boss stages, with the first stage being level 80, with the level increasing throughout to the final level 90 stage.

- Water cannon shooter
- Mobs vs Mobs tower defense event
- A “Super Mario style” minigame
- Kill-with-mechanics event
- TCG card for Weiothesley, Xinyan, Kaveh, Furina, Yunjin
